Sika Strengthens Admixture Business in North America

Sika AG announces that it has acquired the global concrete admixtures and grinding aids business of Axim from the Italcementi Group.  The transaction closed on December 19, 2011.  With significant business in both the US and Canada, this acquisition greatly enhances Sika’s position as a global leader in concrete admixtures and grinding aids.

Sika – a global market leader in construction chemicals and materials, including concrete admix-tures, adhesives and sealants, roofing, flooring, waterproofing, building envelope and repair, protection, and strengthening products – expects this acquisition will further strengthen its leadership position in the North American construction industry.
