Products for Sikalastic RoofPro Liquid Applied Membranes
Sikalastic® 601 BC and 621 TC
The Sikalastic systems are based on two high performance polyurethane coatings – Sikalastic 601 BC and Sikalastic 621 TC. Sika’s innovative “moisture triggered chemistry” (MTC) polyurethane technology resists gassing and foaming and is resistant to rain after application more quickly than traditional moisture cure technologies. It cures to a highly durable, seamless, fully bonded, waterproof, elastomeric membrane. While pit marks may develop due to rainfall, performance of the membrane is not normally compromised.
Sikalastic® 624 AR (Decothane® Balcons)
Sikalastic 624 AR is an elastomeric, high build, single pack polyurethane balcony system. Sikalastic 624 AR is also specially formulated to meet the most stringent crack bridging criteria.
Sikalastic® Baseply (DecoPly)
Sikalastic Baseply is a unique modified, asphalt coated, polyester roofing sheet that provides excellent weathering and heat stability. Sikalastic Baseply is formulated for high performance and long-term durability.
Sikalastic® Cleargaze (Decothane® Cleargaze)
Sikalastic Clearglaze is a clear aliphatic, polycarbonate polyurethane coating which forms an effective barrier to water penetration and the ingress of atmospheric chemicals. Its transparent finish renders it suitable for applications where it is desirable to retain the appearance of the underlying substrate. It is particularly suitable for protecting porous stone, decorative aggregate panels and brick work against water penetration and subsequent freeze/thaw damage. In addition, it provides an effective barrier to carbon dioxide diffusion, making it ideal for protecting reinforced concrete against carbonation.
Sikalastic Clearglaze has a high solids formulation which uses moisture to trigger the curing process but, unlike conventional moisture cured systems, will not foam when excess moisture is present. Consequently, it will continue to cure normally, even in wet conditions and therefore helps to keep contract time to a minimum. The cured membrane enhances natural substrate colors producing a “wet look” finish which will not discolor with age or prolonged UV exposure.
Sikalastic Clearglaze is also suitable for use as a waterproof, anti-shatter coating over glass and roof lights. Combining toughness with excellent adhesion, the coating will prevent glass fragments from splintering in the event of an impact or explosion.Sikalastic® Coldstick (Decostik®)
Sikalastic Coldstick (winter grade) and Sikalastic Coldstick HT(summer grade) is a two pack, solvent-free polyurethane adhesive used in construction of a cold applied roofing system.Sikalastic Coldstick is typically used to bond Sikalastic Vap, Sikalastic Carrier or Sikalastic Baseply.
Sikalastic® DTE Primer
Sika DTE Primer is a two-component, solvent free, epoxy primer and damp proof membrane, which can be applied to damp or new concrete and screeds with high moisture drive prior to the application of the Sikalastic System. It cures rapidly, even under damp conditions to form a dense moisture barrier with excellent adhesion ensuring a durable bond.
Sika DTE Primer Filler is a blend of specially selected aggregates, which when mixed with Sika DTE Primer forms a scratch coat and primer to reduce the profile on uneven substrates and assists in the prevention of outgassing from the substrate.
Sikalastic® EPDM Primer (EasyPrime)
Sika EPDM Primer is a VOC compliant, solvent primer designed to be used over EPDM roofing membranes. Sika EPDM Primer is designed to promote the adhesion of Sikalastic systems used to extend the useful service life of aged EPDM roofing systems. Sika EPDM Primer can be applied by brush or roller to EPDM surfaces that have been cleaned with LPI Biocleanse. Sika EPDM Primer is not a cleaner.
Sikalastic® EP Primer/Sealer
Sikalastic EP Primer/Sealer is a two-pack, amine cured primer that offers a high level of corrosion and vapor resistance. It consists of a base (Part A) and an activator (Part B). This high performance self-priming epoxy is ideal for use as a universal primer over a variety of substrates including ferrous metals, galvanized, lead, copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel, concrete, bitumen, and tightly adhered existing coatings.
Sika® Bonding Primer
Fast curing, ater based primer consisting of two components; a prereacted epoxy resin dispersed in water (Part A), and a waterborne modified polyamine solution (Part B).
Sika® Concrete Primer (Quick Cure Primer)
Sika Concrete Primer is a two component, rapid curing, high solids, solvent based primer. It is designed for sealing cementitous substrates to reduce the incidence of pin-holing.
Sika Drainage Mats (Deco-Drain)
Sika Drainage Mat composites are available in both high flow dimpled core and high crush resistant geonet constructions. They perform a multi-faceted role by providing protection for RoofPro membranes as well as a means of collecting and conveying excess water in plaza decks, split slabs, planters, roof gardens and other roofing and waterproofing applications.
Sika Drainage Mat 420 and 720: Sika Drainage Mat 420 and 720 consist of an impermeable polypropylene sheet cuspated under heat and pressure to form a high flow dimpled drainage core. The core is then heat bonded to a layer of nonwoven (420) or woven (720) filter fabric on top side and membrane protective film on bottom side. The filter fabric retains soil or sand particles as well as freshly placed concrete or grout, allowing filtered water to pass into the drainage core.
Sika Drainage Mat 1000: Sika Drainage Mat 1000 consists of a high density polyethylene geonet drainage core with its ridges heat fused to a layer of filter fabric on both sides. The filter fabric retains soil or sand particles as well as freshly placed concrete or grout, allowing filtered water to pass through to the core. The back side layer of heavy duty fabric provides protection and cushioning for the waterproofing membrane. The geonet core is highly crush resistant yet flexible enough to conform irregular surfaces. Sika Drainage Mat 1000 is suitable for heavy loads and split slabs exposed to vehicular traffic.
Sika Drainage Mat GRS: Sika Drainage Mat GRS for green roofs consists of a polymeric sheet cuspated under heat and pressure to form a high flow dimpled drainage core. The core is perforated, then bonded to a 100% post-consumer recycled polyester filter fabric on top and protection fabric on bottom. The top filter fabric helps prevent roots from affecting the efficiency of the drainage/aeration layer as well as retains soil or other fine particles from being washed away and allows water to pass into the drainage core. The bottom protection fabric safequards the waterproofing membrane. The core is installed dimpled side down to allow water retention. Excess water is collected and conveyed to a proper collection system.
Sika® PU Accelerator (Decothane® Accelerator)
This acid based catalyst is designed to increase the cure rate of Sika products to facilitate a faster application and reduce downtime in areas where a rapid return to service is required.
Sika® Reactivation Primer
Sika Reactivation Primer is a single pack, polyurethane based primer for the reactivation of existing Decothane systems, prior to over-coating. Sika Reactivation Primer is designed to yield excellent adhesion to existing, suitably prepared installations. This enables any localized damage to be easily repaired and facilitates recoating, at the end of the system’s design life, to provide continuing effective protection against water ingress.
Sika® Reemat & Flexitape Systems
Sika Flexitape is a nylon mesh which, unlike conventional scrims, is readily capable of stretching within the membrane to accommodate a high degree of thermal and structural movement. It is embedded into Liquid Plastics’ coatings to impart additional tensile strength and durability, and is available in two standard grades with various widths. Light Duty Flexitape may be used to provide local reinforcement over stable cracks and joints, while Sika Flexitape Heavy is used over joints or cracks liable to movement and for bridging gaps between substrates. Both grades will follow surface contours and may easily be molded over complex detail work. Sika Flexitape can also be used in the construction of expansion joints.
