At Sika Diversity Drives Innovation

Sika USA CEO Rick Montani

"At Sika USA, it is our people who drive our success. And the diversity of our people helps us uncover unique perspectives and valuable ideas which enhances our talented workforce and ultimately brings us better results."

"Sika has been operating globally for over 100 years, and our unique culture (our “Sika Spirit”) can be felt and experienced everywhere in the Sika world.  In this way, diversity remains part of  Sika’s “DNA” and this continues to make us a strong and vibrant company."

Rick Montani, President and CEO, Sika USA

A diversified workforce drives greater innovation and ultimately business growth. Why? Because different perspectives are invaluable. It is natural for people to feel more comfortable working alongside others who share similar background or opinions. However, collaborating with people who look, talk, or think differently can drive individuals and teams to think more creatively and thereby come up with more innovative solutions. Sika managers are encouraged to give high priority to diversity in team and project planning.

Women of Sika

Group of Women at Sika USA

First US Women of Sika Networking Event (2020)

Women account for 23% of the Group’s total headcount (up from 22.3% in 2018). We are constantly working to increase this percentage. We have focused initiatives that are geared to recruit, retain and promote more women, particularly in sales.

To find out what female employees think about Sika, the first global “Women of Sika” forum was organized in May 2019. Female participants from various departments, cultures, and age groups were invited to spend two days attending workshops and discussions on how programs for women can contribute to Sika’s success.

Listen to what our colleagues have to say about their experience in Sika.

"I like that Sika is a very enrtepreneurial company. As long as you do your job, you can be involved in many projects. It is our spirit. You can make mistakes and you are challenged, and then look back thinking: Wow! I did all of this. These challenges make you stronger. You are in charge of your own business even if it is for Sika and this gives you the feeling you are part of something."

Marlene Morin

"Sika is a multi-national company that gives you a chance to grow in different environments. After starting, it didn't take me long to realize that the growing opportunities within Sika were bigger than expected."
