Cementitious Fog Coat

BMI Fog Coat provides a durable and long lasting appearance to an existing Exterior Stucco Finish. BMI Fog Coat is formulated with Portland cement, Hydrated Lime and color pigments.

Raw materials meet or exceed the following standards:
  • Hydrated Type-S Lime: ASTM C-206
  • White Portland Cement: ASTM C-150 Type I

Shelf Life

6 months from date of production if stored properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging

Store dry at 40–95 °F (4–35 °C).

Application steps

MIXING

  • Mix a bag of BMI Fog Coat to 5 gal (19 L) of potable water thoroughly.
  • Add another 5 gal (19 L) of water, mix and let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Mix thoroughly and strain through a suitable strainer when pouring into sprayer.
  • Mix material often to avoid separation during application.

APPLICATION

  • Apply BMI Fog Coat using a hand pump contractor compressed tank sprayer.
  • When applying use a circular motion holding the sprayer nozzle 14” to 18” (356–457 mm) away from the structure (DO NOT let puddle).
  • In some cases, 2 coats may be needed for complete coverage.

CLEANING OF TOOLS

Immediately after drying, BMI Fog Coat overspray should be cleaned off to prevent staining of painted and trim windows.
