SikaGrind®-731

Masonry Grinding Aid

SikaGrind® MC-731 additive is based on a combination of chemicals that will contribute to water retention, extended board life and air entrainment. SikaGrind® MC-731 meets requirements of ASTM C 91 and ASTM C 270.

Usage

SikaGrind® MC-731 represents a simple and cost effective, one component, solution for masonry cement producers looking for more workable mortar with extended board life.

Shelf Life

Shelf life when stored in dry warehouse conditions between 40 °F and 80 °F (5 °C and 27 °C) is 6 months from the date of manufacture.

Storage Conditions

Protect from freezing. SikaGrind® MC-731 should be kept above 32 °F (0 °C). Care must be exercised to ensure that this product is not exposed to temperatures in excess of 105 °F (40 °C).

  

If SikaGrind® MC-731 separates as a result of excessive heat or cold, it must be thoroughly agitated by mechanical means. Homogenized SikaGrind® MC-731 can be reused. Contact your Sika® representative for assistance.
It is recommended that a tank re-circulating system be used where possible.

Do not agitate with air.

Recommended Dosage

The recommended dosage range for SikaGrind® MC-731 is 0.10–0.35 %. SikaGrind® MC-731 must be precisely dispensed through a suitable system that will accommodate the variations in tonnage output.
SikaGrind® MC-731 should be dispensed as received. Proper dispensing equipment with adjustable flow rates should be used for optimum performance. SikaGrind® MC-731 may be added onto the clinker conveyor belt or sprayed into the mills first compartment.
The optimum dosage rate should be determined during full-scale cement mill tests. A trained Sika representative is available to assist in dosage calculations and mill test evaluations.

  

Note: The end of the dispensing tube/hose shall be checked and cleaned periodicallyto ensure it is not blocked and amount of admixture is added in proper dosage rates.
