Responsibilities & Opportunities

 

  • Create customer access by establishing external network across the regional customers/market players
    Use technical sales and marketing literatures such as brochures, presentations based on customer specific needs in the region
  • Perform as a  business project owner and a part of the project team to ensure all necessary   resources and competence are installed driving the success of the project.
  • Report on a monthly base Project pipeline, New potentials, and New booked sales (revenue, profitability)
  • Analysis of market and competitive environment addressing leading market trends
  • Identify/implement local solutions from the Global portfolio of Sika and initiate necessary adaptations in   coordination with corporate BDM and PM
  • Address needs for future developments by identifying new market trends a/o customer needs
  • Perform special projects and other duties as required by the Director(s) and VP of Sales

Preferred Skills

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, preferably in business or engineering field
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible sales experience in which the candidate must have demonstrated a proven track record in achieving specific goals. 
  • Must have proven record of creativity, innovation, sales growth, and significant achievement
  • Familiarity with adhesives, sealants or acoustics in the automotive industry preferred
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical, planning and time management skills, and quantitative skills

Roles & Opportunities

Sika is looking for experienced Area Sales Managers to join our growing team, in our various U.S. markets. Area Sales managers at Sika will play a key role in supporting the sales initiatives annually to grow business sectors.

At Sika, the Area Sales Manager will achieve assigned sales target, maintain a “Sales Force” customer database and conduct and update market and customer surveys; prioritize focus to maximize efficiency in addition to:

  • Prepare and execute annual sales plans and goals in accordance with Divisional and Business Unit objectives
  • Implement long and short-term strategies to develop a self-sufficient Profit Center with C2 focus
  • Conduct and update market and customer surveys; prioritize focus to maximize efficiency
  • Represent organization to Engineering, Production, Warranty, and other primary functions within the customer’s organization
  • Utilize Process Analysis to learn customer needs and to identify opportunities
  • Work with functional support personnel to bring solutions to customer needs
  • Prepare and present formal and informal presentations and seminars supporting the customer’s requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Requires minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Marketing, Business, Engineering, etc.)
  • Minimum five  years Sales experience
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills along with excellent oral and written communication skills
