This Privacy Notice describes the personal information we collect, how we use it, with whom it is disclosed, the purpose of such disclosure, and the rights you may have available to you regarding your personal information. This Privacy Notice covers personal information collected by the Services, including when you visit any of our locations in person. The Privacy Notice does not apply to any website, mobile application, or online service operated by a Sika affiliate or subsidiary that has a separate privacy notice.

Your continued use of the Services indicates your acknowledgement of this Privacy Notice and your acceptance of the Terms of Use which are hereby incorporated by reference. Personal information we collect
“Personal information” is information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with an individual. Personal information does not include:
• Publicly available information from government records.
• Deidentified or aggregated consumer information.
We may interact with you in a variety of ways and collect personal information during those interactions. While some personal information we collect is required to provide you the services you are requesting, you may voluntarily provide other personal information.
We collect personal information from these sources:
• Directly from you.
• Automatically through cookies and other similar tracking technology when you interact with the Services or communications, we send to you.
• From third-party sources such as social media platforms.
• From other sources such as marketing or advertising service providers, vendors that provide services on our behalf, and other publicly available sources.
Personal information you provide
We may collect the following categories of personal information from you and provide examples of Personal Information we may collect:

- Identifiers: Name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, or other similar identifiers.
- Protected classification characteristics under federal law: Age (40 years or older), race, color, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, religion, physical or mental disability, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), veteran status, military status.
- Commercial information Billing address, payment information, and how you engage with marketing campaigns or events we sponsor.
- Device, Internet, and Network activity Interactions with the Services, device model, IP address, cookies, beacons, tags, and other similar identifiers.
- Geolocation Information Location via IP address.
- Sensory Information Pictures, videos, and sounds.
- Education, Professional or Employment-related information Job history, job title, job duties and accomplishments, and other information available on a resume, professional media, or other publicly facing information.
- Inferences Information that reflects your preferences and interests.
- Sensitive Personal Information Social security number, driver’s license, and account log-in and password.
- You may also provide us additional information at your sole discretion when you contact us via the Service or talk to a customer service representative.
How we use personal information
We collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process your personal information for the following business and commercial purposes:
• Providing the Services and products you request and creating, maintaining, and administering an account you create.
• Communicating with you about the Services and products you have purchased, such as responding to communications, contacting you about your transactions, or to market our products and services. If you contact our customer services representatives, we will use information about you to help you resolve a problem or answer your question.
• Preventing fraud, protecting and enforcing our legal rights; and otherwise complying with law, such as protecting the rights of individuals, employees, and Sika, as well as preventing loss, fraud, abuse, illegal use, and other misuse or violation of our Terms. We also will use information to comply with applicable law, such as proceedings, process, court orders, or governmental requests.
• Improving our Services and offerings, auditing and analyzing data, troubleshooting, understanding how you interact with the Services, such as operating and maintaining the safety, security, and integrity of the Services, databases, and other technology assets, and diagnosing technical and service problems.
• Personalizing and understanding your experience, such as your personal or professional interests, demographics, user experience with us, and contact preferences, as well as to customize offers to your interests.
• Assessing your job application.
• Any other purpose with your consent.
Email choices: You may opt out of marketing or advertising emails by following the unsubscribe process included in any promotional email you received. You may also request to opt out of marketing or advertising emails by contacting us at customer.privacy@us.sika.com. Please keep in mind that if you opt out of receiving marketing messages, you will still receive transactional and service-related emails from us (such as emails related to your services, your account, correction of personal information, password reset requests, reminder emails you have requested, updates to our terms and policies and other similar communications essential to your transaction) that may be necessary for us to make the services available to you or respond to your inquiries.
SMS choices (texts): We may provide you with promotional offers and other marketing communications by text message. You may opt in by indicating your preference in our online contact forms. If you agree to receive SMS communications from us, then we may send you information, including promotional or marketing text messages, to the phone number you provide. You may opt out of receiving text messages by replying “Stop” to any message you receive, or, to opt out of marketing or advertising calls, by contacting us through one of the methods specified in the Contact Us section below and sharing the phone number that you would like to opt out.
Our use of personal information is limited to the purposes set forth in this Privacy Notice unless we obtain consent for such other processing.
Disclosure of personal information
We may disclose personal information to:
• Affiliates and subsidiaries for business purposes, such as providing the Services and our product and service offerings.
• Service providers that perform services on behalf of Sika and for ordinary business purposes including, but not limited to, analyzing customer data; providing marketing assistance or financing; and processing payments.
• Third parties to complete your transaction, marketing campaigns, and targeted advertisements, and to protect the security and integrity of the Services and correct any technical problems and malfunctions. We may engage third parties to act as our service providers and perform certain tasks on our behalf including, but not limited to, analyzing customer data, providing marketing assistance, financing, processing payments, and processing or storing data in connection with your use of our Services and delivering products to customers.
• In the event of a business transition, such as a merger, acquired by another company, or selling all or part of its assets, including an individual property, personal information may be transferred as part of that transition. By using our websites and providing your personal information, you consent to this transfer, provided use of the personal information will remain in accordance with this Privacy Notice in place at the time of the transfer. If required by law, we will separately notify you of such transfer.
• To comply with our legal obligations, such as where personal information is requested by law enforcement agencies or if we are required to do so by law, treaty, regulation, subpoena, court order, or a government entity. We also may disclose your personal information to third parties if we have reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to conduct investigations of possible breaches of law, to cooperate in any legal investigation, or to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating any agreement with us.

Cookies and other web technologies
The Services uses cookies, and other similar technologies such as pixels and beacons, from third parties and service providers to help personalize your online experience, remember your preferences, analyze the use of the Service, to advertise our services to you, and to maintain security of the Services. Cookies help us understand how users interact with our Services, including date and time of visits, pages viewed, amount of time spent using our digital offerings, or general information about the device used to access our Services. Information related to these actions and technologies are automatically transmitted by your browser to us. Through the use of cookies and other similar technologies, information about video materials or services you engage with on the Services may be disclosed incidentally in the ordinary course of business.
We may also share information that we collect through these technologies with third parties, such as service providers, advertisers, and advertising companies as described in this Privacy Notice. Web beacons and pixels allow us to count users who have visited various pages on our Services. We may include web beacons in promotional email messages in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. Third parties may also deliver and use web beacons. While some may be used to support customizing advertising to you, others may be used to protect legal rights to content provided on our Services, such as protecting the copyright to a photograph or video.
When you use social media platforms, applications or tools that enable features like audio or video content (sometimes known as “plugins”), or other features that are operated or offered by third parties and are integrated into our services or allow you to connect to our services, we may collect information from those third parties. This may include payment services, login services or review platforms.

Security
We work to protect your personal information from unauthorized access by using commercially reasonable security safeguards along with security procedures and practices. Although Sika employs measures to maintain security, we cannot guarantee that your information will not be intercepted by third parties’ illegal efforts. It is your responsibility to maintain the privacy of the information you are transmitting to us or any account you maintain with us. Please keep all information and any usernames and passwords in a safe and secure place.
Children under the age of 16
The Services are not intended for children under 16 years of age. No one under the age of 16 may provide any personal information to the Services and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 16. If you believe we might have collected personal information from a child under 16 inadvertently, please email us at the email address provided in the Contact Us section below.
Third-party tracking & websites
The Services may also contain links to other websites which are not controlled by us. These links are made available to you as a convenience, and you agree to use these links at your own risk. Sika disclaims any responsibility for the privacy practices or the content of such other websites. If you navigate to a third-party website from our Services, we strongly encourage you to review and become familiar with that third-party website’s own privacy notice and statements.
Notice to individuals outside the United States
The Services are only intended for individuals located in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, any connection to the Services and any information you provide to us will be transferred to and stored on servers located in the United States and that, by submitting information to us, you explicitly authorize its transfer, storage, and processing within the United States. We will protect the privacy and security of personal information according to this Privacy Notice regardless of where it is processed or stored.
U.S. State Privacy Laws
Sika processes your personal information in accordance with applicable U.S. state data privacy laws. Some state laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), permit residents to exercise certain rights regarding their personal information. Consistent with applicable law, residents of these states may exercise the rights described in this section. Please note that consumer rights vary from state-to-state and some states do not provide consumers all of the rights detailed below.
Personal information collection, uses, and your rights
U.S. State Data Privacy Laws require Sika to disclose the categories of personal information collected, from whom personal information is collected, and how such personal information is used. Please see the sections above for more information: Personal information we collect and How we use personal information.
Categories of Personal Information Disclosed and Categories of Recipients
We disclose the following categories personal information for a business purpose or commercial purpose:
• We disclose Identifiers, Device, Internet and Network Activity, Commercial Information, Geolocation Information, and Inferences with businesses, service providers, and third parties, such as cloud hosting and internet service providers, government entities, operating systems and platforms, and product distributors.
• We disclose Commercial Information with businesses and service providers who process payments.
• We disclose Sensitive Personal Information and Education, Professional or Employment-related Information with government entities and in the event of civil litigation to comply with our legal obligations.
Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing/Targeted Advertising
Our Services uses cookies and other online tracking technologies that may be considered a “sale” / “sharing” under applicable law. Categories of personal information disclosed that may be considered “sale” / “sharing” include, Identifiers, Device and network Information, and Internet/Network Activity.
Categories of third parties to whom personal information was disclosed that may be considered “sale”/ “sharing” include certain advertisers and marketing partners, data analytics providers, and social media networks.
Residents of certain states may opt out by broadcasting an Opt-Out Preference Signal, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC) (on the browsers and/or browser extensions that support such a signal). If you choose to use the GPC signal, you will need to turn it on for each supported browser or browser extension you use.
Right to Access, Know, and Correct
You may submit a request to access the Personal information we maintain about you, a request to know what Personal Information is maintained about you, and/or a request to correct any Personal Information maintained by Sika. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will disclose to you:
• The categories of personal information collected about you and the sources from which we collected such information.
• Our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information.
• The categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information.
• If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:
o Sales, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient purchased; and
o Disclosures for a business purpose, identifying the personal information categories that each category of recipient obtained.
• The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.
Right to Delete
You may have the right to request that Sika delete any of personal information collected and retained, subject to certain conditions. Once we confirm your identity, we will review your request to understand if an exception applies to your request. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service provider(s) and as permitted by applicable law. We will delete or deidentify personal information not subject to an exception from our records and will direct our service providers to take similar action.
Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information for a period we believe reasonable to fulfill the purposes for which we hold your personal information, as outlined in this Privacy Notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
The criteria used to determine our retention periods include:
• The length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you and provide the Services to you;
• Whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, certain laws require us to keep records of your transactions for a certain period of time before we can delete them); and
• Whether retention is advisable considering our legal position (such as, for statutes of limitations, litigation or regulatory investigations).
Exercising Your Rights
To exercise your rights described above, please submit a request by contacting us by email to customer.privacy@us.sika.com.
Only you or your authorized agent may make a consumer request related to your personal information.
Your request must provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative, which may include:
• Provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative; and
• Describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.
You do not need to create an account with us to submit a request. We will only use personal information provided in the request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make it.
Right to Appeal
Residents of certain states may have the right to appeal our decision with respect to a request. To appeal a decision, please contact us through the ways listed above or any method outlined in the decision.
Authorized Agents
If you use an authorized agent, you may provide a power of attorney executed pursuant to applicable law. If a power of attorney is not submitted, you will be required to provide the authorized agent signed permission to submit a request, verify your identity directly with us, and directly confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request. If you’re an authorized agent making a request, you need to submit the following to the email address below in our contact information:
• A copy of a power of attorney provided to you by the consumer pursuant to applicable law; or
• Proof of signed permission along with a copy of your ID and have the consumer directly confirm with us that they provided you permission to submit the request by sending an email.
Response Timing and Format
We will acknowledge a consumer request within 10 days of receipt, where applicable law requires, and we will respond to a consumer request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to another 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
Any disclosures we provide may only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made that decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
Non-discrimination and no retaliation
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights.
California shine the light
Under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family, or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once a calendar year information which includes a list of all third parties to which Sika has disclosed personal information, as defined in California Civil Code Section 1798.83(e) during the preceding year, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year. California residents may request this information in writing by contacting us by email to customer.privacy@us.sika.com with “California Privacy Request” in the subject line. In your request, please attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for your response.
Changes to this privacy notice
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes to this Privacy Notice, we will post the updated notice on the website and update the notice’s effective date. Your continued use of our Services following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
