The Bellaire Tower Project

Bellaire Tower, also known as the “Jewel”, sits 20 stories high on top of Russian Hill in San Francisco, CA. Built in 1930, Bellaire Tower was designed by architect H.C. Baumann, a prolific San Francisco architect who designed over 400 apartment buildings and hotels. The tower was one of the first residential high-rise buildings in San Francisco constructed to new seismic codes after an earthquake struck in 1906. Abiding by these new building codes allowed Bellaire Tower to hold strong through the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.

Edison Battery Buidling

With the creation of the light bulb in 1879, Thomas Edison was always destined to have bright ideas. In 1886, he moved to West Orange, NJ and a year later began to build a new laboratory compound, which became a one-million square foot industrial complex between 1906-1914. The facility was transformed into a residential building following the objectives that the building was to be restored to its original look while also maintaining a fresh, contemporary look that it had when it was first built.

Foot Prints By The Beach Project

This new construction residential home project is exposed to the elements and requires high performance products, especially for waterproofing and corrosion protection. As the structure was completed, moisture was coming through the walls and the flat roof was holding water. Therefore SikaTop Seal 107 was applied to all concrete walls on the exterior for protection against water infiltration before the stucco was applied.

The Gateway Terrace Project

Gateway Terrace is a 257-unit apartment community in the Victoria Park neighborhood of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It is situated at the intersection of Karen Canal and Middle River. The Gateway Terrace is composed of twenty-six buildings, all of them requiring full window replacement. Challenge of the project; All units were occupied and the windows needed to be removed, and replaced in one day.

The Philadelphian Project

A facade inspection indicated cracks and spalls in some of the balconies, eyebrows and columns. Further evaluation of the balconies indicated the handrails were structurally deficient due to post pockets containing gypsum grout. This dramatically increased the scope of work.
