Sikaflex®-591
Premium, Multipurpose Marine Sealant
Sikaflex®-591 is a premium performance, multipurpose marine sealant based on Sika’s Silane Terminated Polymer (STP) technology. Resistant to weathering and seawater, Sikaflex®-591 provides excellent UV stability, superior application properties, and adhesion to most common marine substrates, making it the perfect all-around sealant for a wide range of above and below the water line applications.
Sikaflex®-591 provides excellent adhesion to most common marine substrates, such as gelcoat, fiberglass, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze, standard marine primers and paints, SMC, ABS, PVC, wood, and plywood.
Sikaflex®-591 is an extremely versatile, highly flexible sealant that bonds well to most common marine substrates to create a durable, long-lasting, waterproof seal. Its outstanding application characteristics and resistance to marine weathering conditions makes it ideal for a wide range of interior and exterior sealing applications, as well as above and below the water line usage.
Sikaflex®-591 is an above and below water line marine sealant that can be used for a wide range of boatbuilding, repair and maintenance applications.
Sikaflex®-591 is suitable for elastic, vibration-resistant joint seals and can be painted with most conventional marine paint systems. It also meets the low spread flame requirements (FTP Code Part 5) set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO). Sikaflex®-591 is compatible with fiberglass, gelcoats, most common metals (stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, bronze), and plastics (SMC, ABS, PVC).
