SikaWall®-4040 Encausto Verona

100% acrylic polymer finish coat

A factory mixed, 100% acrylic polymer finish coat. SikaWall®-4040 Encausto Verona utilizes uniformly sized aggregates to achieve a free-formed, flat texture. A mottled look can be achieved by combining multiple colors.

Usage

  1. Provides a protective, weather-resistant and aesthetically pleasing surface color and texture.
  2. Can also be utilized as a textured finish for poured concrete or unit masonry, conventional stucco, Sika facades stucco and cement board systems, and interior veneer plaster or gypsum wallboard.

Shelf Life

Two (2) years, when properly stored in original container.

Storage Conditions

  • Protect materials during transportation to avoid physical damage.
  • Store in a cool, dry place protected from freezing, extreme heat and direct sun.
  • Store at no less than 40°F (4.5°C).
  • Do not stack pallets.

Volatile organic compound (VOC) content

<50 lbs/gal less water and exempt solvents.

Application

Application Information

Ambient Air Temperature

  • When temperatures less than 40°F (4.5°C) prevail, provide supplementary heat during installation and drying period for at least 24 hours after installation and until dry.
  • Do not apply in ambient temperature above 100°F (38°C)

Substrate Temperature

Do not apply on surfaces with a temperature above 120°F (49°C).

Drying Time

  • Under average conditions [70 °F (21 °C), 50% Relative Humidity] finish will be dry within 24 hours. Drying time is dependent on humidity, air temperature, sun exposure, surface conditions and finish thickness. Lower temperature, higher humidity and application in shaded areas will extend drying time.
  • Protect finish from rain or other precipitation and temperatures less than 40°F (4.5°C) for a minimum of 24 hours and until dry.
Consumption

Coverage

Approximately 250 ft2 (23 m2) per pail, applied in two coats. Actual coverage depends on application technique, substrate type and conditions.
