SikaBiresin® AP078

SikaBiresin® AP078 is a styrene-free, long-working time, polyester-based, industrial filler paste. It is specifically formulated for filling, fairing, and repair applications and can be used in high service temperatures applications up to 400°F (204°C). The 40 to 50 minute pot life of SikaBiresin® AP078 makes it ideal for large fairing and repair applications. In its mixed, uncured state, SikaBiresin® AP078 has a smooth, creamy consistency that enables the user to make quick repairs with minimal air entrapment. Once cured, the material can be sanded to a feather-edge, and it can accept virtually all types of coatings and decorative films without any blush or discoloration.

Usage

SikaBiresin® AP078 is suitable for applications on fiberglass, SMC, FRP, epoxy, vinyl ester, polyester, graphite, Kevlar®, aluminum, wood, and other substrates. The materials’ longer working time makes it ideal for large fairing and repair applications. SikaBiresin® AP078 can also be used for FRP panel surfacing and honeycomb panel edge fill. SikaBiresin® AP078 can be used for above and below waterline applications in the marine industry.

This product is suitable for experienced professional users only. Tests with actual materials and conditions have to be performed to ensure satisfactory performance.
