Sikagard®-300 KNS is an acrylic polymer in a solvent carrier.

Store in unopened containers in a clean, dry area between 35 and 85° F (2 and 29° C). Keep from freezing.

Coverage varies with the application method, texture, and porosity of the surface.

• Sikagard®-300 KNS may settle and must be stirred thoroughly before and during application.
• Do not thin.
• Keep away from heat and open flame.
• Application is not recommended when surface temperatures exceed 120° F (49° C).
• For best appearance and performance, apply uniformly and at recommended coverage rates.
• If Sikagard®-300 KNS is to be applied in or near areas containing foodstuffs, they must be removed before application; do not return foodstuffs until Sikagard®-300 KNS has fully dried and all solvent vapors have dissipated.
• Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) units may draw solvent vapors into occupied building interiors. Solvent vapors can be irritating. Do not apply Sikagard®-300 KNS in or around buildings occupied by non-construction personnel without consulting building management and taking appropriate precautions. Use only with adequate ventilation and with a minimum of six air changes per hour.
• Do not apply to surfaces of joints to be caulked with sealants. Mask joints to avoid sealant-adhesion problems.
• Do not use on surfaces that are to receive concrete overlays or additional toppings or coatings.
• Not recommended as a release agent or where other sealers or treatments are to be later applied.
• Avoid excess moisture until the material is fully cured.
• Although Sikagard®-300 KNS is compatible with a variety of tile, carpet, and floor-covering adhesives, a test application is always recommended.
• Can be applied to natural or colored concrete, but mottling or discoloration may occur.
• May highlight features and imperfections of the concrete surface.
• Sikagard®-300 KNS is considered a light-duty sealer; may rubber burn when subjected to forklift or other wheeled traffic.
• Mechanical methods are recommended for removing Sikagard®-300 KNS.

• Proper application is the responsibility of the user. Field visits by Sika personnel are for the purpose of making technical recommendations only and not for supervising or providing quality control on the jobsite.

1. Freshly placed concrete must be properly finished. The surface is application-ready when it is damp, but not wet, and when it cannot be marred by foot traffic.
2. Existing concrete surfaces should be thoroughly repaired and cleaned before application. The surface must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, sealers, and all other surface contaminants that might inhibit the proper bond of material.

1. Stir Sikagard®-300 KNS thoroughly before using.
2. Apply a continuous, uniform film with a short-nap roller or lamb’s wool applicator. Spraying is not recommended.
3. For curing, one coat may be sufficient. However, two coats may be required in hot and windy conditions. Apply evenly and uniformly as soon as possible after final finishing.
4. To seal and dustproof, two coats are required. Apply the second coat when all trades have completed their work and the site is ready for occupancy.
5. Do not overapply or soak concrete surfaces with the curing compound. Do not allow the curing compound to pool on the surface. Over-application can result in alligatoring and mud cracking, whereby a film forms on the substrate before the material dries properly. Over-application may also cause opacity, as elements of the curing compound become trapped in the subsurface and cannot escape.

Clean tools and equipment with SikaSwell®-990 immediately after use and while Sikagard®-300 KNS is still wet.
