Seam Cleaner

Seam Cleaner is used to clean in membrane seam overlaps only

Seam Cleaner is used during the installation of Sika’s roofing and waterproofing membranes in the seam overlap only. It is not to be used as a general membrane cleaner. For general membrane cleaning, please refer to the “Localized Membrane Cleaning” technical bulletin #02-13 located at usa.sarnafil.sika.com. It is also used to clean metal and reactivate existing Liquid Flashing prior to the application of Sika’s Liquid Flashing.

Usage

Seam Cleaner is used on Sika’s PVC roofing and waterproofing membranes in the seam area only. It is also used to clean metal and reactivate existing Liquid Flashing prior to the application of Sika’s Liquid Flashing.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Open container slowly to relieve pressure. Wearing protective gloves, apply Seam Cleaner to a clean, white cotton rag and rub the wet rag on the area to be cleaned. Follow immediately with a second dry, clean white cotton rag. Heavy concentrations of dirt, dust and residue should be lightly scrubbed off (using a non-scratch scouring pad) the membrane prior to cleaning. Do not pour Seam Cleaner directly on the Sarnafil or Sikaplan membranes.
