SikaGrind®-800 CC-A

CEMENT ADDITIVE FOR THE PRODUCTION OF LIMESTONE CALCINED CLAY CEMENT (LC3)

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A is a non-chloride liquid cement additive specifically developed for the production of Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3).

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A provides the following benefits in the production of LC3:   
  • Improved grinding efficiency,
  • Reduced relative energy consumption,
  • Improved production rate.
   When used in concrete, LC3 produced with the use of SikaGrind®-800 CC-A results in improved workability and increased strength development at all ages.

Usage

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A is used to reduce the water demand of LC3 and optimize the efficiency of modern separators and cement mills.

Shelf Life

Shelf life when stored in original packaging in dry warehouse conditions between 40°F and 95°F (5-35°C) is one year from the date of manufacture.

Storage Conditions

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A should be stored above 40°F (5°C). Protect from freezing and direct sunlight.

Application Information

Mixing

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A must be mixed until homogenized, and accurately dispensed to ensure consistent results. SikaGrind®-800 CC-A may be added onto the clinker conveyor belt or sprayed into the mills first compartment. A Sika representative is available to assist with recommendations on the mill system.

  

Note: The end of the dispensing tube/hose shall be checked and cleaned periodically to ensure it is not blocked and the proper amount of cement additive is being added.

  

Compatibility: Cements produced with SikaGrind®-800 CC-A are compatible in concrete mixes utilizing commercial admixtures. The performance of concrete admixtures is not adversely affected by the use of SikaGrind®-800 CC-A. Contact your local Sika representative for more information on compatibility.

Equipment

SikaGrind®-800 CC-A must be mixed before use with clean mixing equipment to prevent contamination. Proper dispensing equipment with adjustable flow rates should be used for optimum performance.
Consumption

Recommended Dosage

The dosage rate of SikaGrind®-800 CC-A will vary based on the desired characteristics of each cement. The typical range will vary between 0.15% - 0.30% by weight of total cement and cementitious material. Laboratory-scale tests and full-scale cement mill tests should be conducted to determine the required dosage for optimum performance. A trained Sika representative is available to assist in dosage calculations and mill test evaluations.
