Sika® Fibermesh® HP

MICRO-SYNTHETIC MONOFILAMENT FIBER

Sika® Fibermesh® HP, micro-reinforcement system for concrete is made up of 100 percent virgin homopolymer polypropylene ultra type multifilament (monofilament) micro fibers, containing no reprocessed olefin materials.  Specifically engineered and manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility for use as concrete reinforcement.  Previously named Fibermesh 150HP and SikaFiber HP.

Usage

Sika® Fibermesh® HP is an all ultra type of micro fiber that acts mechanically by supporty the aggregate within the concrete with multidimensional fiber network and helps develop a uniform bleed in the concrete system.   The fiber does not affect the curing process chemically and it does not absorb water.  The Sika® Fibermesh® HP can be used in all types of concrete applications to control plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking.   Typical applications include:
  • Slabs on ground
  • Residential applications: sidewalks, driveways, decks, curbs
  • Stamped / Stained / Polished Finishes
  • Precast elements
  • Overlays / Toppings
  • Stucco
  • Shotcrete
  • Roads / Pavements / Bridge Decks
  • Self compacting concrete

Packaging

Sika® Fibermesh® HP are available in a variety of packaging options.  The 0.5 lb bag is a standard size.  The bags are packed into cartons and palletized.

APPROVALS / STANDARDS

  • Complies with European Standard EN 14889-2:2006 Fibres for Concrete Part 2: Class Ia
  • Complies with ASTM C1116/C1116M, Type III fiber reinforced concrete and therefore ASTM D7508.

Shelf Life

When stored in dry conditions, shelf life is 5 years.

Storage Conditions

Sika® Fibermesh® HP should be stored in a dry warehouse.  Protect product from the rain and direct sunlight.

Recommended Dosage

The dosage of Sika® Fibermesh® HP will vary according to the type of application and performance requirements.   Standard recommended dosasge rate of Sika® Fibermesh® HP is 0.5 lb/ cu yd (0.3 kg/m3) of concrete.  Dosages outside the recommended dosage can be used to meet project specific requirements.  If this is the case please contact your Sika representative for technical support.
