Not A Boring Competition 2023
Join us in Texas to learn about exciting breakthroughs in Tunnel Boring Technology and our revolutionary tools that are now available in the USA.
We will be attending the Not A Boring competition, a competition where students from around the world design, build, and race a tunnel boring machine. Sika has a commitment to excellence and innovation. This year, Sika is sponsoring a team participating in the competition: Swissloop Tunneling. This team is a student-led initiative with the goal of contributing to the research and advancement of the Hyperloop technology and its application in the real world.
Along with the competition, we will be providing transportation to visit our plant in Sealy, TX. During our visit, we will have a series of technical presentations highlighting Sika's commitment to the tunneling market and the expansion of our Shotcrete, Tunneling and Mining team in the US.
To make your stay more comfortable and convenient, we will be providing hotel and meal accommodations for the duration of the trip.
Itinerary
Thursday March 30, 2023
Plan to arrive in Houston, Texas. Hotel accommodations in Katy, TX. Attendees will need to arrange their own transportation to Katy, TX.
Friday, March 31, 2023
Presentations and tour of Sealy Plant. Sika will provide transportation from the hotel to our plant. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Topics to be discussed: TBM Products, Sika Shotcrete Technologies, Waterproofing, Sika Innovations and a Swissloop Team technology discussion.
Transportation will be provided from Sealy to Austin, TX as well as hotel accommodations.
Friday evening we hope you'll join us for a customer appreciation dinner! This event is our way of showing our appreciation for your continued support.

Attend the Not A Boring Competition. Sika will be providing lunch and transportation to the airport. Plan to depart from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.
