Sika® Extender T

Thickening agent for resin systems

Sika® Extender T is an inert, fine, white, fibrous polymer powder used as a thickening agent for Sikafloor® systems.

Usage

  • In combination with: Sikafloor® epoxy, polyurethane and PMMA systems
  • For applications on horizontal surfaces to create custom orange peel textures
  • For applications on vertical surface to hold the resin in place during cure
  • To create a thin set, fine texture, crack and pore filler to repair horizontal and vertical surfaces

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged packaging

Application steps

EQUIPMENT

Depending on the actual application use a smooth or notched trowel and foam roller to create a texture / orange peel, non-slip finish.

APPLICATION

Mix the A-component of the resin before adding of Sika® Extender T. Add the desired amount of Sika® Extender T pouring slowly over a period of 15 seconds until a homogeneous paste is achieved (no visible lumps). Add the B-component (Hardener) and mechanically blend for 3 minutes with a slow speed (400 - 600 rpm) mixer. During the operations, scrape down the sides and bottom of the container with a flat or straight edge trowel at least once to ensure complete mixing.
