FAST-CURING, SOLVENT FREE, METHYL-METHACRYLATE BASED POLYMER CONCRETE FOR PATCHING AND OVERLAYS

Sikafloor®-17 RS Pronto is a methyl-methacrylate (MMA) polymer concrete system designed for a multitude of applications that require a fast-curing, high strength material. Sikafloor®-17 RS Pronto consists of two components: a liquid methacrylate based resin; a powder component consisting of sand, inert fillers, polymers, pigments and powder hardener. Sikafloor®-17 RS Pronto is used for thin patches, overlays and grouting, or is filled with coarse aggregate and used for deep patches in slabs. The unique fast cure and durability make the Sikafloor®-17 RS Pronto suitable for concrete restoration projects, including repairing and rebuilding deteriorated concrete surfaces.

All coverage rates are approximate. Coverage rates will vary with the desired texture and porosity of the substrate. Coverage rates are also dependent on the application that Sikafloor®-17 RS Pronto is being used for. Please refer to the Sikafloor® Pronto Installation Guide and Mixing Chart for further information.
Application steps

APPLICATION

Every Sikafloor® Pronto flooring system is a multiple component system that utilizes a methyl-methacrylate (MMA) resin. It is critical that the instructions listed in the Safety Data Sheet and on the product label for every component of the system be read, understood and followed. MMA resins are flammable liquids in their uncured state. Smoking, open flames or sparks should not be permitted during the handling of the product. Explosion safe ventilation must be used during the application to minimize vapor collection in the installation area and to improve overall air quality for the crew. All foodstuffs must be removed during installation of the flooring system.
