LEED V4 CREDITS
With the implementation of LEED v4 and the sunset of LEED 2009, questions have been raised concerning the areas where Sika’s Flooring products can help contribute to achieving LEED v4 Credits. There are currently three areas that Sika has evaluated where Flooring products could potentially contribute towards achieving LEED v4 points.
These are:
1. Environmental Credit – EQ5 – Low Emitting Materials
2. Material Credit – MR 2 – Environmental Product Declaration – Option 1
3. Material Credit – MR4 – Material Ingredients – Option 1
To date, Sika’s focus has been on Environmental Credit – EQ5 – Low Emitting Materials. Following is a list of products that have been tested and meet the requirements of this credit. Additional products will be posted as they are tested.
Sika continues to work towards achieving points for Material Credit – MR 2 – Environmental Product Declaration – Option 1 and Material Credit – MR4 – Material Ingredients – Option 1. As of the current date none of the Sika Flooring products can receive points for these two categories. However, as this is an evolving situation Sika will update this information as products become eligible to receive points for more LEED v4 Credits.
