SikaFiber® fibers are manufactured and supervised by a highly trained quality control team in Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA. The fibers are then packaged in our modernized plant to ensure uniform distribution of fibers throughout the concrete mix. SikaFiber® reinforced concrete has the properties to resist internal stresses due to shrinkage and have been shown to improve specific material properties of concrete. These improvements include impact resistance, flexural strength, toughness, fatigue resistance, and ductility. Proper use of fibers in your design can often lead to a significant cost saving. The removal of steel reinforcement leads to a reduction of CO2. For every pound of steel reinforcement produced there is 1.14 lbs of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere. During manufacturing SikaFiber® reinforcement technology only emits 0.03 lb of CO2/lb.  This can lead up to a 99% reduction when substituting SikaFiber macro fibers for steel reinforcing.
