Sarnabar®

Sarnabar is a heavy duty U shaped bar

Sarnabar is a heavy-duty "U" shaped, roll formed steel bar specifically designed to resist the static and dynamic loads produced during strong winds. Sarnabar distributes the loads uniformly across a series of fastening points. Sarnabar maximizes pull-out and back-out resistance.

Usage

Used with Sarnafasteners to clamp Sarnafil® S 327 Roof Membranes to the roof deck in the Engineered Mechanically Attached system or as additional securement when used with Ballasted and Adhered systems.    Areas of Application

Application steps

APPLICATION

Sarnabars are positioned over the top of the membrane
and fastened to the roof deck with Sarnafasteners at a row spacing and fastener spacing determined by the specifications. The Sarnafasteners are set to a depth to clamp the membrane in place without damaging the insulation surface over the roof deck. A membrane coverstrip is then welded over each Sarnabar for water tightness.
