Shelf life when stored in original packaging in dry warehouse conditions between 50°F and 70°F (10-21°C) is one year from the date of manufacture.

SikaMix AE-6 should be stored between 50°F and 70°F (10-21°C). If the product separates or settles, reconstitute the product to normal state by agitation. Regular recirculation may be used to mitigate the potential to separate. If frozen, admixture cannot be reconstituted and must be discarded accordingly to local laws. Protect from direct sunlight. Gaskets and hosing on dispensers should be oil compatible.

As SikaMix AE-6 is a low dosed admixture, and since the majority of drycast concrete will have a very low water cement ratio and/or moisture content, it is necessary to provide sufficient mixing time to allow the admixture to be distributed throughout the entire batch and provide uniform performance. The actual time depends on individual circumstances and should be determined by trials.

Measure the required quantity manually or by automated dispenser. Add SikaMix AE-6 with the batching water or at the end of the mixing process. Do NOT mix SikaMix AE-6 up front or directly with dry cementitious materials. When used in combination with other admixtures dispense each admixture separately into the mix.

Compatibility: SikaMix AE-6 can be used in combination with other Sika admixtures and can be successfully used in mix designs utilizing supplementary cementitious materials.

Dosage rates will vary according to the targeted application. For efflorescence and absorption control the typical dosage rate of SikaMix AE-6 will vary between 3.5-8 fl oz / 100 lb. (227-520 mL / 100 kg) of cement or cementitious materials. For water repellency the typical dosage rate of SikaMix AE-6 will vary between 5-10 fl oz / 100 lb. (325-650 mL / 100 kg) of cement or cementitious materials. Various factors will affect the dosage rates.

Trial mixes with the actual materials should be conducted to determine the required dosage for optimum performance.

To the extent specialized materials are used, extreme ambient temperatures are encountered, or for other unusual project conditions, dosage rates outside the typical range may be required.
