TONGUE & GROOVE FLOORING ADHESIVE

SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive (formerly DriTac® 8100 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive) is a premium wood glue that is specifically formulated for all types of laminate and floating wood floors. SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive can also be used over radiant heat systems. It provides a superior bond at the tongue and groove. It is white in color, which makes it is easy to see for quick cleanup. It is non-toxic and non-flammable, making it safe to use and environmentally friendly. SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive gives the professional installer a very high level of protection against potential moisture problems, while maintaining a strong superior bond.

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions and protected from direct sunlight at temperatures between 40°F and 95°F (4°C and 35°C). 

Condition material between 65°F and 75°F (18°C and 24°C) before using. Keep from freezing. Freezing may not affect the function of the product but may cause it to thicken. Agitation should restore product to original form.

Application steps

NOTES ON INSTALLATION

These directions are general guidelines for tongue and groove installations. It is the responsibility of the installer to determine acceptability of subfloor conditions. Installation must also be in accordance with flooring manufacturer’s recommendations. Only items that are approved for floating floor installations by the flooring manufacturer can be used with SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive. Floors installed with SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive are not warranted against damage caused by wet mopping, flooding, plumbing leaks or other extraordinary circumstances. For any installation not herein recommended, contact Sika Technical Service before proceeding.

APPLICATION

Always follow the flooring manufacturer’s directions for the use of their products. SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive and all materials should be above 55°F (13°C) with normal humidity conditions.

 

SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive can be installed using the continuous bead method. When using this method, a water-resistant joint is created. Follow the flooring manufacturer’s directions for proper positioning of the adhesive bead. Some manufacturer’s prefer gluing the top of the tongue and others prefer gluing of the groove. SikaBond®-900 Tongue & Groove Flooring Adhesive is the professional installer’s choice for either method.
