Sikacrete®-501

PORTLAND LIMESTONE TYPE IL CEMENT MATERIAL

Sikacrete®-501 is a Portland Limestone Cement (PLC/Type IL) that may be mixed with aggregates and water to form a concrete, mortar, or stucco mix. Sikacrete®-501 meets the requirements of ASTM C595.

Usage

Sikacrete®-501 is suitable for most applications requiring cement, including but not limited to, ready mix concrete, precast concrete, shotcrete, mortar, and stucco.    Sikacrete®-501 can be used for the following applications:   
  • Most concrete applications,
  • Structural placement,
  • Repair / Rehabilitation.

Packaging

Available in 1,200 lb (544 kg), 2,000 lb (907 kg), and 2,500 lb (1,134 kg) bulk bags.

ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION

Sikacrete®-501 is engineered with a higher limestone content than Portland Type I/II Cement, reducing the carbon footprint by approximately 10% while maintaining similar mixing, workability, strength, and durability characteristics.

Shelf Life

Shelf life when stored in dry warehouse conditions between 40°F and 95°F (5-35°C) is one year from the date of manufacture.

Storage Conditions

Sikacrete®-501 must be stored in a dry environment. If exposed or unprotected Sikacrete®-501 will absorb moisture resulting in an unusable product.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Sikacrete®-501 is designed for combining with sand, rock, and water to produce concrete, mortar, stucco and other mixes for various applications.
