Sika® Fibermesh® FN

MICRO-NYLON MONOFILAMENT FIBER

Sika® Fibermesh® FN is a monofilament nylon micro-fiber for use as secondary reinforcement in concrete.  Manufactured from 100% virgin nylon (polyamides).  Sika® Fibermesh® FN  is designed to control plastic shrinkage and settlement cracking as secondary concrete reinforcement.

Usage

Sika® Fibermesh® FN act mechanically by supporting the aggregate within the concrete with multidimensional fiber network and developing a uniform bleed system.  Sika® Fibermesh® FN can retain approximentally 4-5% of their weight in water, slowing bleed water, aiding in hydration and reducing crazing cracking.  Typical applications include:
  • Slabs on ground
  • Architectural concrete
  • Precast elements
  • Stucco

When stored in dry conditions shelf life is 5 years.

Sika® Fibermesh® FN should be stored in a dry warehouse. Protect product from the rain.

Recommended Dosage

The dosage of the Sika® Fibermesh® FN will vary according to the type of application and performance requirements.  Standard recommended dosage ratio of Sika® Fibermesh® FN is between 1 lbs/cu yd of concrete.  Dosages outside the recommended dosage range can be used to meet project specific requirements.  If this is the case please contact your Sika representative for technical support.
