Sika USA employees come together from all over the United States to help a community center in Orlando, Florida.
Helping Pathlight HOME's Pathway Center Feel New Again
Sika and Rebuilding Together have partnered together again for another community service event. Rebuilding Together is a national, non-profit organization with chapters around the country to help provide safe housing in the community as well as revitalization projects with volunteers around the country. Working with the Tampa Bay chapter of Rebuilding Together, our Sika team came together to support Pathlight HOME’s Pathway drop-in center that serves the homeless population, allowing them to receive care the care they need including hot meals, laundry, and showers.
A group of 60 Sika employees from all around the country arrived a day early for Sika’s National Sales Meeting to dedicate their time to helping those in need. Sika volunteers were ready to get to work on a sunny and warm Florida morning - the team was split up to take on different tasks throughout the day. Some of our volunteers spent their time beautifying the back pathway by mulching and racking up debris while others painted the exterior walls of the building for a fresh new look!
As the morning continued our team assembled and packaged hygiene kits, as well as meal packages for the local community. We finished up the day by finalizing our tasks and installing new A/C units to create a comfortable environment in the building. Along with our services that day, Sika provided donations that will go towards a new residential roof for the center.
This Sika team went beyond the expected by making the building and surrounding outside area look brand new again. A big thank you to Tampa Bay Rebuilding Together and Pathlight HOME’s for making these moments happen.
Great work team!
