Once opened, the product should be used and reasealed promptly. Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC does not react with atmospheric moisture allowing it to be opened and resealed for use at a later date.

30–45 minutes at 77 °F (25 °C) and 50 % R.H.. Lower temperatures will extend cure time.
Membrane resin has to be be applied within 24 hours of primer application.

All work surfaces should be clean, dry, free of dirt, dust, debris, oils, unadhered coatings, deteriorated membrane and other contaminants that may result in a surface that is not sound or is uneven. Aged waterproofing membrane should be pressure washed and dried completely before applying Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC. If necessary, clean the surface with an approved EPDM membrane cleaner prior to application of Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC.

Shake or stir the 3 gal. pail of Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC prior to application and restir every 15-20 minutes during use. 

Note: product may exhibit an “apple sauce” type texture even after agitation. This appearance is normal and will not adversely affect the product’s performance.

Do not dilute or extend Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC. Surfaces should be dry, clean and free of any loose debris before applying Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC. EPDM or TPO Surfaces should be cleaned with a suitable solvent such as mineral spirits prior to priming. Observe all manufacturers’ safety precautions and follow recommendations when using solvents. When the surfaces are dry, apply Sikalastic® EPDM/TPO Primer Lo-VOC with a fully saturated roller or scouring pad (recomended). If using a scouring pad, be sure that it is free of excessive dust from EPDM membranes. Replace pads often. Do not overwork primer. The surface should appear wet during application. Allow primer to dry completely before applying resins. Primer will visually appear “dull” or “flat” and will feel dry to the touch. Drying conditions will vary depending on ambient air conditions. When not in use, keep lid on primer to prevent solvent evaporation. When finished, secure the lid and store primer as recommended for reuse.
