Thermochromic Weld Technology (Pro-Weld)

Sika® Pro-Weld™ is a groundbreaking innovation in commercial single-ply roofing that uses thermochromic ink technology for visual verification of correct seam weld temperature and speed. This industry breakthrough provides real-time feedback to assist our approved applicators in ensuring a water-tight installation.

The Pro-Weld visual indicator changes from blue to clear when the automatic welding machine is set to the correct temperature and speed for an optimum weld. If the ink doesn’t change, the applicator is visually alerted allowing for a quick adjustment to the machine and averting a potential problem.
