Polyester fleece reinforcement for Sikalastic® single component resin systems

Nonwoven, needle punched polyester fleece reinforcement used to enhance the strength and durability of Sikalastic® single component resins used in the roofing and waterproofing systems.

  • Permits wet on wet application of Sikalastic 621 TC (US), Sikalastic-624 WP, Sikalastic-641 Lo VOC and Sikalastic-644 Lo VOC
  • Creates strong reinforced roofing and waterproofing membranes with enhanced tensile strength
  • Fleece thickness dictates membrane thickness
  • Reduces pinholeing due to outgassing
  • Increases puncture and tear resistance

Storage Conditions

Store flat and wrinkle-free in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions.

Recommended to condition material to 50°-77°F (10°-25°C) before using to match liquid resin.

Application

Application steps

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Precut Sika® Fleece-120 (US) and dry fit to horizontal field and vertical flashing conditions. Temporarily remove fleece. Apply approximately 2/3 of the specified resin quantity to primed substrate surface with a 1/2” (12.7 mm) nap phenolic resin core roller. Immediately fit and place Sika® Fleece-120 (US) into wet resin, overlapping reinforcement 3” (76.2 mm) along the sides and 6” (152.4 mm) at the roll ends. Apply wet roller to topside with light pressure to saturate from bottom and to ensure that air pockets are completely removed. Immediately apply the remaining 1/3 of the specified resin quantity and apply wet roller to topside with light pressure to fully saturate the membrane to achieve an even texture and appearance.
