PVC Protection Layer

PVC Protection Layer is a protection layer made with recycled PVC

PVC Protection Layer is a heat weldable thermoplastic protection layer made with recycled PVC. It has an integral reinforcement for dimensional stability and puncture resistance.
PVC Protection Layer is installed over the completed Sarnafil waterproofing membrane to provide protection against incidental foot traffic and light overburden installations. It is intended for horizontal installations such as plaza decks, green roofs, balconies and terraces.

Chemical Base

PVC Protection Layer is a thermoplastic sheet material made with 1 % Post-Consumer and 9 % Pre-Consumer PVC content, with integral fiberglass reinforcement. Due to the recycled content of this product, the off-white color may vary between production runs. This aesthetic effect will have no impact on the performance of the product.

Application steps

APPLICATION

PVC Protection Layer is installed by an authorized Sika Sarnafil Waterproofing Applicator. The protection layer is loose-laid over the completed Sarnafil waterproofing assembly. The protection layer can be temporarily held in place by using removable ballast such as sand bags, weighted pails, etc. until the permanent overburden is placed.
