Sarnafelt NWP-HD Leveling Layer is a high quality geotextile fabric of non-woven polypropylene. The Sarnafelt NWP-HD Leveling Layer is installed over the substrate and below the waterproofing membrane. It is intended to act as both a leveling layer to absorb the inconsistencies of the substrate, and as a separation layer between the waterproofing membrane and any existing waterproofing products.

Chemical Base

Sarnafelt NWP-HD Leveling Layer geotextile fabric is composed of 100 % recycled polypropylene fibers tightly knit together. The tight needle punch produces a fabric which is highly resistant to puncture. The polypropylene is naturally resistant to most chemicals, and is particularly resistant to high alkaline exposure.

Application steps

APPLICATION

Sarnafelt NWP-HD Leveling Layer is installed by an authorized Sika Sarnafil® Waterproofing Applicator. The Sarnafelt NWP-HD Leveling Layer is typically loose-laid over the substrate and lapped 4" (102 mm) over the previous roll. The felt may be adhered at wall flashings with Sarnacol® 2170 Adhesive.
