Liquid Flashing Primer

Two‐component polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) liquid

Liquid Flashing Primer has a shelf life of up to 12 months in the original unopened pail when properly stored, sealed and unmixed.

Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from heat and oxidizing agent. Do not store in direct sunlight or in temperatures below 32°F (0°C) or above 77°F (25°C). Keep away from open fire, flame or any ignition source.

2.6 g/L (Liquid Flashing Primer + Liquid Flashing Catalyst Combined)

Grind concrete and masonry surfaces with diamond cut wheel to remove laitance and/or contaminants.
All concrete and wooden surfaces shall be clean, dry, free of dirt, dust, debris, loose particles, loose paint, rust and other contaminants.
Clean the membrane a minimum of 12" (305 mm) around the penetration using use a non‐solvent based cleaner such as Simple Green or Orange DEP.

If a gap of more than 1/4" (6.3 mm) exists between edge of horizontal membrane surface and vertical transition surface, the gap must be filled with Sikaflex®‐1a.

Thoroughly mix the entire pail of Liquid Flashing Primer with a slow‐speed (200 - 400 rpm) mechanical mixer (electric drill with a mixing paddle) for two minutes.

After mixing, pour 0.26 gal (1 liter) of Liquid Flashing Primer into a clean plastic container. Add Liquid Flashing Catalyst to Liquid Flashing Primer at the following rates depending on ambient temperature:

Mix using a slow-speed mechanical mixer with a small mixing paddle for two minutes. Once mixed, the pot life is approximately 10 - 15 minutes depending on ambient temperature.

After mixing in the Liquid Flashing Catalyst, apply Liquid Flashing Primer to clean prepared surface using a small 1/2" (13 mm) nap roller or a small paint brush. Liquid Flashing Primer is cured when it is tack‐free to touch.
