Sikalastic® Rapid Catalyst PMMA is a reactive agent based on dibenzoyl peroxide to induce curing of all Sika’s Sikalastic Rapid resin products when mixed.

Shelf Life

12 months in the original unopened packet when properly stored, sealed and unmixed.

Storage Conditions

Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from flame sources. Do not store in direct sunlight or in temperatures above 86°F (30°C). Store away from reducing agents, strong oxidizers, acids, alkalis and accelerators.

Application steps

MIXING

Thoroughly stir the entire pail of Sikalastic Rapid Resin at a slow speed (200 – 400 rpm) using an electric drill with a stirring paddle for two minutes.
After stirring, pour 1 liter of Sikalastic Rapid resin into a clean plastic container and then add the appropriate amount of Sikalastic® Rapid Catalyst PMMA (see below). Mix at slow speed using an electric drill and a disposable mixing paddle for two minutes. Do not re-use the mixing paddle after mixing the Sikalastic Rapid resin and Sikalatic Rapid Catalyst.
The amount of Sikalastic® Rapid Catalyst PMMA used may be altered depending on the ambient and surface temperatures. The mixing rates shown below are based on the mid‐range temperatures to provide an approximate pot life of 10 – 15 minutes after mixing.
