The project involved repairs to the parking structure and the waterproofing system at the Adams Square Condominium located at 501 Adams Street. Porcello Engineering involved Sika as one stop shop for the concrete repair and deck coating during the specification phase.
Porcello Engineering trusted in Sika's Sikalastic RoofPro system and Sikalastic DeckPro system, which have both been used on several other projects in recent years. Sika's comprehensive support during the design phase, paired with the technical support for the contractor before, during and after the installation differentiates Sika from other manufacturers. The awarded contractor "Infrastructure Repair Service LLC" is a long term Sikalastic RoofPro certified installer and was eligible to execute the long term warranted waterproofing application.
PROJECT SOLUTION
The Sikalastic RoofPro 20 year system provides the owner with a 20 year waterproofing warranty. In order to protect the membrane, a 50 mils wear course of Sikadur 22 Lo-Mod filled with kiln dried quartz sand was applied over the Sikalastic RoofPro system to protect it from the vehicular traffic. Sikalastic-745 has been applied over the epoxy overlay as traffic coating and for line stripping of the parking deck.
