Storage Conditions
Store in a dry location, not in direct sunlight, and temperatures between 45°F (7°C) and 95°F (35°C). Store boxes valve side up. Protect from freezing at all times. Keep containers closed. Contamination by moisture or basic compounds can cause dangerous pressure build-up in a closed container.

Application
Coverage
1.5 L cartridge is approximately 600 ft2 (56 m2) per case
Part 1 and Part 2 mixed through an approved low pressure pump cart will produce the following coverage rates:
10 gallon (37.8 L) box set: 2,500 - 3,000 ft2 (232 - 279 m2)
30 gallon (113.4 L) drum set: 7,500 - 9,000 ft2 (697 - 869 m2)
100 gallon (378.4 L) drum set: 25,000 - 30,000 ft2 (2,323 - 2,787 m2)
Coverage estimates indicate total square feet of membrane attachment per set. Rates are based on an application pattern 1/2” to 3/4” (1.3 cm to 1.9 cm) ribbons spaced 12” (30 cm) on center. NOTE: A 1/2" - 3/4” (1.3 - 1.9 cm) wide uncured adhesive bead will produce a 2" - 3” (5.1 cm - 7.6 cm) wide cured adhesive bead that will rise approximately 3/4" - 1” (1.9 - 2.5 cm) above the substrate. Coverage rates may be lower when used over irregular surfaces and will vary depending on roughness.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil, or other contaminants or particulates. All concrete surfaces must be cured prior to applying Sarnacol AD Feltback Membrane Adhesive.
APPLICATION
Handheld Cartridge Applicator:
Remove the plastic plugs from the cartridge mixing head. Attach a mixing tip to the threaded mixing head. Place the cartridge into the applicator. When starting a new cartridge, dispense some adhesive into a bucket or other suitable receptacle to achieve a proper mix.
Apply the Sarnacol AD Feltback Membrane Adhesive directly to the substrate, using a ribbon pattern. Apply adhesive in 1/2" - 3/4" (13 - 19 mm) wide wet beads. Ribbon spacing will depend on the wind uplift rating required.
Allow the adhesive to begin rising and place the membrane into the adhesive before the adhesive has skinned over. Adhesive reaction time is slower in cooler temperatures and faster in higher temperatures. Roll the membrane with a minimum 75 lb (34 kg) steel roller to ensure positive contact between the membrane, adhesive and substrate.
Cart Box and Drum Set Applicator:
Install Part 1 and Part 2 components following instructions on the packaging. Always ensure that the Part 1 and Part 2 containers are always hooked to the same dispensing holders or hoses (i.e. do not reverse the dispenser holders and hoses between Part 1 and Part 2). All valves on the dispensing unit must be completely opened so a 1:1 ratio is achieved when moving the adhesive through the disposable mix tip and onto the substrate in a semiliquid state. When starting a new box or drum set, dispense some adhesive into a bucket or other suitable receptacle to achieve a proper mix.
