The company collaborated with Rebuilding Together to continue its commitment to giving back.
Sika Corporation’s roofing team proudly continued its longstanding commitment to giving back at the 2026 International Roofing Expo (IRE), marking the 16th anniversary of its sponsorship of Community Service Day. This tradition began in 2009 when the Sika Sarnafil team partnered with the IRE to launch an event designed to make a meaningful impact in the host city the day before the expo opened. Since that inaugural effort began, the program has grown into one of the most recognized volunteer initiatives associated with the show.
Once again, Sika collaborated with Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing neighborhoods and supporting residents in need. Each year, Rebuilding Together local chapters identify homeowners and community spaces where volunteer efforts and financial support can create the greatest benefit. Over the years, these projects have ranged from repairs to private homes and schools to updates at local community centers.
For 2026, Sika contributed $15,000 to help fund materials, supplies, and professional labor needed for the projects. In addition, a dozen Sika volunteers devoted the full day to hands-on work at this year’s event site in Las Vegas, NV, and invited other volunteers from the roofing industry to help give back.
“This year felt especially meaningful as we celebrated the 16th anniversary of this program,” said Bill Bellico, vice president of marketing for Sika Roofing. “Returning to Las Vegas for this milestone provided a great opportunity to reflect on how much the event has grown and how many families and communities have benefited from it.”
This year’s work took place at two homes of low-income residents in their 70s, including one couple and one recently widowed homeowner. Volunteers completed a wide range of tasks including painting, accessibility upgrades, yard cleanup, and exterior repairs. Sika’s donation also enabled Rebuilding Together to take on additional improvements beyond the one day event, including roof repairs and safety enhancements.
With another successful year completed, Sika looks forward to continuing this tradition of service as the IRE heads to its next host city in 2027.
