2022
Longboat Key, FL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Seagate Condominium, built in 1973, underwent a recent facelift, which included new paint, windows, and a refurbished front entryway. These upscale condo units are part of a private club that boasts a beach lover’s dream and well-maintained private units. When it came time to retrofit the porte cochere and surrounding flat roofs a certain pleasing aesthetic had to be maintained.
UNIQUE PROBLEM
These condos, with their picturesque views of a beachfront ocean, also had to maintain a pleasing view of the rooftops from the upper condo units. The aesthetic had to be a seamless monolithic membrane, conform to the roof features, and offer 20+ years of protection.
PROJECT SOLUTION
The Sikalastic® 624 WP RoofPro membrane system and its’ ability to receive quartz sand or tile overlay for a beautiful, functional finish ultimately sealed the deal! Sika was able to provide all the components, including a tapered insulation package, screws, plates, quartz sand, and membrane. Aesthetics were “key” in this project, and the end result did not disappoint.
