After a building envelope inspection, the contractor observed some deterioration of the glass block system. The contractor con- tacted the local Coastal Construction Products product expert team for recommendations on products that could be used to seal the whole assembly without changing the curb appeal or architecture of the home. Sika's Sikalastic Clearglaze was proposed to use as a sealer for the entire assembly. Sika assisted with project examples and application recommendations, which solidified the project scope.
PROJECT SOLUTION
Sikalastic Clearglaze sealed the glass block face and mortar joints with the same product, without changing the appearance of the building’s façade. The result is a monolithic, uniform appearance that resists water intrusion.
