Sika Roofing & Waterproofing Celebrates 20 Applicators
Sika Roofing & Waterproofing, a worldwide leader in manufacturing resilient and sustainable roofing and waterproofing solutions for non-residential construction projects, recognized 20 members of its approved applicator base with 2024 Projects of the Year Awards. Contractors nationwide received awards in the following categories: Low Slope – New Construction, Low Slope – Re-Roofing, Steep Slope, and Waterproofing.

Low Slope - New Construction
Hartford South LLC of Orlando, Florida, won for installing an EnergySmart white, fully adhered, Sarnafil® PVC system to the Conrad Hilton Hotel at the Evermore Resort in Orlando, Florida. The Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, features a 203,000-square-foot PVC roofing system thanks to Best Contracting Services, Inc. of Gardena, California, and a Hydrotech™ waterproofing system under vegetated areas, compliments of Courtney, Inc. of Irvine, California. Midland Engineering Company of South Bend, Indiana, won for installing a 141,500 square foot PVC roof system on the Publix Fresh Kitchen facility in Dacula, Georgia. Douglas Colony Group of Commerce City, Colorado, earned an award for installing a Sarnafil EnergySmart system on the roof and Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125® on the amenity decks of the renovated United States Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Promenade Apartments at Irvine Spectrum in Irvine, California, feature a new Sarnafil roofing facility thanks to Red Pointe Roofing of Orange, California. Brazos Urethane of Texas City, Texas, and Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing of Houston provided Samsung Electronics’ new $17 billion semiconductor plant with Sarnafil and Sikalastic roofing systems. Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing also won for installing a Sarnafil roofing system on the Dallas Cowboys’ “The Star,” in Frisco, Texas. Prospect Waterproofing Company of Sterling, Virginia, installed 71,175 square feet of Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125 to Under Armour’s new headquarters in Baltimore. Ruff Roofers of Baltimore earned an award for installing a Sarnafil EnergySmart system on Vantage Data Centers 21 & 22 in Sterling, Virginia.
Low Slope - Re-Roofing
Farrell Roofing of Dunkirk, New York, installed more than 2 million square feet of Sarnafil PVC membrane and a Sikalastic liquid-applied polyurethane membrane to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada.
Steep SLope
TF Thompson Roofing of Centerton, Arkansas, installed the Sarnafil Décor System on the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Child Development Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Coon Restoration and Sealants of Louisville, Ohio, won for installing a Sikalastic liquid applied roof system on NASA’s Neil Armstrong Test Facility Dome in Sandusky, Ohio. Science Hill Elementary School in Science Hill, Kentucky, has a brand new Sarnafil Decor roofing system thanks to Insulated Roofing Contractors of New Albany, Indiana. Mahaney Roofing Company of Wichita, Kansas, earned an award for installing a ‘Feather Blue’ Sarnafil Feltback membrane on The Century II Performing Arts & Convention Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Waterproofing
Masonry Preservation Group, Inc. of Pennsauken, New Jersey, used Sikalastic Clearglaze to restore about 40,000 square feet of glass, mullions, skylight frames, and battens across the Atlantic City Convention Center roof in New Jersey. Snyder Roofing of Snohomish and Wayne’s Roofing of Sumner, Washington, utilized Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125 to waterproof the elevated walkways of the Seattle Aquarium Expansion and Ocean Pavilion. Olsson Roofing Company of Aurora, Illinois, installed a Sikalastic waterproofing system for the recently renovated Sonder Hotel in Chicago. Bennett & Brosseau Roofing, Inc. of Romeoville, Illinois, earned an award for waterproofing The Foundry in Chicago with Hydrotech Monolithic Membrane 6125.
